How often are motorcycle brake pads replaced?
There's no fixed interval: it depends on the model, the type of pad and how you ride. The practical thing is to check the thickness at every service and replace them before they reach the minimum.
Does brake fluid get changed even with low mileage?
Yes. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time and loses effectiveness whether or not the bike covers kilometres. It's replaced by age, at the interval the manufacturer sets.
Why does it brake worse with new pads?
Almost always because of the disc or the fluid. A worn or grooved disc and old fluid stop new pads performing. That's why we check the whole system, not just the pad.
