Motorcycle ITV preparation in Sant Pere de Ribes
Before your ITV appointment (Spain's compulsory roadworthiness test) we check everything the inspector looks at: lights, brakes, tyres, emissions, exhaust noise, free play and safety items. What fails most bikes are small faults you don't notice in daily use; with a check beforehand they're found and fixed in time, and you pass first go.

What it includes
- Lighting and signalling: lights, indicators, brake light, number plate light and horn.
- Brakes, tyres (tread and pressure) and steering.
- Emissions and exhaust noise within what the regulations require.
- Free play, leaks, condition of the number plate and mirrors.
When it's due
- When your ITV reminder arrives or the date on the sticker is getting close.
- If the bike is a few years old and nobody has checked it thoroughly for a while.
- If you've already failed once and want to go to the retest with confidence.
What you ask us
Do you carry out the ITV at the workshop?
No: the inspection is done at the ITV station. We prepare the bike so it passes first time. You book the station appointment yourself, and it's best to come to the workshop a few days before.
What fails most motorcycles at the ITV?
Blown bulbs, worn brakes, tyres at the limit, emissions or noise above the permitted level, and free play. All of that shows up in the check beforehand.
If you find something, do you fix it in the same visit?
It depends what it is and whether we have the part. We give you the quote first; if it's quick and you approve it, it's done on the spot; if not, we suggest a second appointment.
